- Cost Estimation.
- Analyze the BOM (Bill of Material) compare with CAD drawing to prepare cost and materials estimates.
- Consult with personnel in other departments (Research & Development, Production, Client Services for lead time and Exim for shipping the sample) to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Meeting and discuss with Research & Development and the factory for changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Review materials to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Product Sample Monitoring.
- Make the sample request to factories and set target time for the review and shipment.
- Prepare sample master list data for factory reference work and buying materials.
- Prepare jigs and production guidelines to prevent issues during production and to maintain consistency of products.
- Control daily sampling activities to ensure that samples are to specifications and on time.
- Document sample / production progress / drawing revision and final review to the company database
- Product Specification and Documentation.
- Detail final product specifications to company data base.
- Maintain accurate data record in relation to Client product SKUs.
- Communicating with factories owners or costing department on that factory. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing or by telephone or e-mail.
- Providing information to PIC/Factories manager or QC/QA by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Estimating sizes, proportion and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform sampling activity.
- Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
- Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Autocad drafting / product engineering skills are required.
